Dormansland to Lingfield

Hello walkers. Today’s delightful walk had some good rural stretches, and excellent displays of spindle berries. It also provided a chance to straddle the meridian line elegantly. Thanks Margaret for finding and leading it. Best. Andy

Notes:

This looks a lovely linear walk out of Christopher Somerville “Walks in the Country near London”. He says beautiful countryside, several interesting buildings and jumping across the meridian. The only snags are 1. both pubs on the route are closed so I think we should take packed lunches. And 2. The train times are inconvenient so I think a late start so we can benefit from Freedom Pass/ senior railcard. May mean a lateish finish so if you have plans for Friday evening. . . .but it is our last chance before the clocks go back. Margaret M
